The Association shall be non-partisan. It shall promote its objectives without distinction as to race, language, religion or philosophical opinion.

Membership of the Association shall consist of Organisations primarily concerned with flower arrangement (although horticulture may also be part of their activities), formed on a National basis.

The National Member Organisation may comprise of different Associations, provided that the National Member Organisation ensures that each Association or group accepts the principles of membership and agrees to co-operate with the other Associations to constitute one National Organisation.

The membership worldwide engenders friendship and has the common bond of the love of flowers and through this medium strengthens the link of international relations. Since its inception, the membership has increased steadily with new countries applying each term. WAFA is now recognised internationally as a highly respected association.

Applications for membership to WAFA should be submitted to the Secretary of the Management Committee of the host country. The Application Forms must reach the Secretary at least eight months   prior to the General Assembly to be included in the Agenda.
